What is Naturopathy?
Naturopathy encompasses a range of holistic treatments
tailored to the individual.
Sara uses iridology to assess a person's constitution and
identify any inherent weaknesses that may be present.
Ayurvedic constitutional analysis allows her to to further
understand each individual, while Traditional Chinese tongue
diagnosis can give more information as to the state
of health.
Each treatment plan is tailored to suit the individual.
One of Sara's primary tools is herbal medicine. A typical
blend may consist of up to nine herbs made up specifically for
a person and their condition.
Food therapy is key to improving health: we are what we
eat! Ensuring the correct raw materials are consumed is key to
improving and maintaining good health.
Sara also uses Celloid mineral therapy as a means of
restoring health. These minerals work to rebalance the body at
the cellular level.
Bach flower remedies are used where necessary for emotional
support.
Detoxification and cleansing are core naturopathic
techniques used to eliminate toxic accumulation within the
body and thus stimulate the body's vital force.
Having
come to alternative medicine through her own ill-health,
having suffered with ME/ Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for some
years, Sara
has a personal understanding of illness and how it can affect
an individual and their family.
Reiki
Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing modality that can be
likened to the laying on of hands.
It has been documented to benefit patients with chronic
conditions including multiple sclerosis, lupus and
fibromyalgia, as well as significantly reducing pain in
conjunction with opioid therapy and
speeding wound healing. It is deeply relaxing and deals effectively with
stress, anxiety and emotional problems. It is also very
effective in speeding bone healing.
Combination Treatments
Reiki can increase the efficacy of a treatment, and Sara
often combines it with naturopathic techniques.
Sara trained at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in
London, specialising in Herbal Medicine and qualifying with
distinction. She is a member of the
Unified Register of Herbal
Practitioners. She completed her Reiki attunements under
the guidance of an independent Reiki master in London
